Experts say we should be on the lookout for heat-related illnesses

With the extreme heat and humidity we expect over the next few days, Jay Kindle, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator at Riverside has a few things we need to keep in mind

Kindle says heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke are the biggest health concerns when dealing with the heat

Kindle says if you suspect heat stroke you should call 9-1-1 and have the person taken to the hospital immediately. Cooling centers will be open across the area over the next few days.
