Will County man sentenced for sex crime

A Will County man is going to prison for transporting a minor to Illinois to engage in sex.  Ryan Zelek was sentenced to 27 years behind bars after pleading guilty last year.  Prosecutors say, in 2021, Ryan Zelek communicated with a 13-year-old girl on the social media app Snapchat.  Zelek then drove to Iowa, picked up the girl outside of a movie theatre and took her to his home in Illinois, where he sexually assaulted her.
