State of Emergency Declared in Paxton

A state of emergency has been declared in Paxton. WCIA in Champaign reports the declaration was made Monday night and the hope is it will help get the process in motion as the City recovers from last week’s flooding. Mayor Bill Ingold said the declaration is the first step in getting help from state and federal agencies. Crews started going door to door in Paxton yesterday, helping flood victims document their damages.
