Woman Killed in Fatal Lockport Shooting Identified

The name of the woman killed in a fatal shooting in Lockport Wednesday night as been released. Will County Coroner Laurie Summers has identified the woman as 31-year-old Michelle Robinson of Lockport. Robinson was pronounced dead around 9:33 Wednesday night at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox in what authorities say is from an apparent homicide which happened in the 200 Block of Dellwood Avenue in Lockport. An autopsy was performed on Robinson Thursday. Final cause and manner of her death will be determined following autopsy, police, and toxicology reports. A man was also injured Wednesday night just before 8 O’clock when shots were fired. No word on his current condition. Will County Sheriff’s Police as anyone with information about the fatal shooting to call their office.
