Charges filed in PBL booster case

Felony theft charges have been filed against the former treasurer of a Paxton-Buckley-Loda School’s Choir Program who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the group. The Ford County Chronicle reports Ford County State’s Attorney Andrew Killian filed one class 2 felony count of theft in Ford County Circuit Court Friday against 44-year-old Tara L. Long of rural Paxton. The charges filed against Long allege she stole 21-thousand dollars from PBL Choral Boosters between June and August of this year. Long was arrested on August 18th for the supposed theft and released the same day. Long is due back in court at the end of the month.
