Iroquois County crash kills Kankakee woman

A crash in far northern Iroquois County Monday night took the life of a Kankakee woman. Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner says 51-year-old Shay Doyle was the passenger in a car that was hit broadside by another on Route 49 in rural Woodworth. Illinois State Police will only say the crash happened just after nine last night and four people were taken to the hospital. Gessner says Doyle died of her injuries at a local hospital just after 10 last night.  Others from the crash were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions are unknown.
