Fire destroys Paxton warehouse

There were no injuries reported when fire destroyed two buildings in Paxton Monday. WCIA in Champaign reports a total of four buildings caught fire, with two damaged to badly they’ll have to be torn down. Paxton Fire Chief Denny Kingren says people working in a nearby building reported hearing explosions before the fire started in a warehouse on Railroad Avenue in Paxton. Firefighters reportedly think a propane tank may have been the cause of the fire, but the investigation continues.
