The lack of police presence in Gilman and Onarga was once again a topic of discussion at Tuesday morning’s Iroquois County Board Meeting. District Two County Board Member Jed Whitlow says both towns have gone without a police force for some years now.
Whitlow went on to say that regardless of what kind of agreement Gilman and Onarga can come up with, they should still sign a contract with the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department to help with public safety.
