Gas prices up at mid-week

Gas prices are taking a leap across Illinois as we reach mid-week. Triple-A says the average cost for a gallon regular no-lead gas today is three-dollars-75 cents. That’s up seven cents overnight and 22 cents more expensive than it was just a month ago. A gallon of gas across the Kankakee area will set you back three-dollars-72 cents on average, that’s up a dime overnight and up 35 cents in the past month. Triple-A says gas is averaging 3.52 in Iroquois County, it’s 3.60 a gallon in Ford County and 3.63 in Grundy County.

Across the state line, gas will set you back three-dollars-30 cents a gallon in Newton County, 3.48 in Benton County and 3.50 in Jasper County. The average cost for a gallon of gas in the Hoosier State is three-dollars-51 cents – 13 cents more expensive than it was yesterday.
