Driver of an SUV killed in single vehicle accident in unincorporated Lowell, Indiana

The driver of an SUV was killed in a single vehicle accident just after 3 Sunday morning in unincorporated Lowell, Indiana.  Lake County Sheriff’s police report their preliminary investigation found that for unknown reasons the eastbound vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree at 1903 Belshaw Road.  The 18 year old driver’s ID has not yet been released.  Deputies do say there were four passengers in the car at the time of the accident ranging in age from 16 to 20 years of age.  No word if any were injured.
