Ford County Courts have been busy

udges in Ford County Circuit Court were busy this week. The Ford County Chronicle says on Tuesday 18-year-old Veronica L. Matuszewski of Kempton was ordered held until her trial for attempted first degree murder after she allegedly hit her uncle twice with her car. Her next hearing was scheduled for December 16th in Paxton.

Also in Ford County Tuesday, there was a preliminary hearing for 32-year-old Mohammed H.M. Mohammed of Oak Lawn who’s been charged with criminal sexual assault and home invasion in connection with the alleged September 26th rape of a Paxton woman. Mohammed was also ordered detained until trial.

The Ford County Chronicle says a hearing was held for 41-year-old Kynan A Brown of Bloomington who’s been charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and traveling to meet a minor. Brown, who is a doctor at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, is accused of having engaged in sexual activities with a 14-year-old in Gibson City and using an online service to solicit the child for sex. The judge ordered Brown be held while he tries to hire a private lawyer.
