Smalls Sell Daily Journal

After over a century of keeping the Kankakee River Valley Informed, the Small family has decided to sell the Daily Journal Newspaper.  The new owners will be The Shaw Media Group based in Crystal Lake. The current generation of the family says in an article that it has been a privilege and honor working with the award winning staff and community members for the greater good but the time has come to make this change.  Shaw media says they are looking forward to adding Kankakee County to their network of coverage throughout northern Illinois.
