The public is encouraged to join the Manteno Legion Color Guard as they honor our fallen military and deceased this Memorial Day (Monday, May 27th) by conducting a memorial remembrance at five different area cemeteries, followed by a ceremony at Manteno’s Legion Park. Taps will be played by recent Manteno High School graduate, Erin Drexler, preceded by a gun salute.

The Manteno Legion Color Guard will be at:

Deselm Cemetery at 8am
Blooms Grove at 8:30
Veterans Cemetery at 9am
St. Joseph at 9:30,
Elmwood Cemetery at 9:50am

After the 11am Memorial Day ceremony at Legion Park, you’re invited back to the Manteno American Legion Post 755 for food and beverages provided by the Legion and their Ladies Auxiliary
