Police Chase Ends with Driver Killing Himself

A man wanted for attempted murder in Aurora took his own life this morning in an unincorporated area between the Kankakee River and the Dresden nuclear power plant cooling lake. Grundy County Sheriff’s police say authorities were looking for the suspects’ vehicle when it was picked up by a license plate reading camera. A chase followed that ended at Cottage and Will Roads. It was there deputy’s report Jeffrey Emerson got out of the vehicle with a gun in his hand and fatally shot himself.
