Chickens Could be Coming to Dwight Backyards

Creating an ordinance that would allow homeowners in Dwight to keep chickens in the backyard is under investigation by the Dwight Village Board.  Village officials say they have had several requests for permission from residents to keep chickens to help offset grocery costs.  For right now Dwight authorities are researching what other communities allow and will discuss the matter at a future meeting.
