City Police Arrest Two on Drug Charges

Two people were arrested on drug charges about 3:30 this morning after police spotted a glass pipe and suspected cocaine in their vehicle following a routine traffic stop in the 600 block of West Brookmont Blvd.  Officers report the driver, 64 year old William J. Ruff and a passenger, 53 year old Sheri Hazzard, both of Kankakee, were arrested after both claimed the drugs and paraphernalia did not belong to them.  Both were charged with the Unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
