Kankakee Earth Day Cleanup

Monday was Earth Day, but volunteers took to the streets of downtown Kankakee on Saturday to clean them up.  Officials with Kankakee Public Library Youth Services who hosted the cleanup, joined volunteers picking up trash scattered about on several blocks of downtown Kankakee.  It’s estimated in the Daily Journal that they removed hundreds of gallons of litter.
