A Wilmington woman who was stopped by Will County Sheriff’s police on Rt. 113 near I-55 on March 28th for a broken windshield, and ended up being arrested on an outstanding warrant, is also now facing charges of aggravated battery to police.  Deputies, after being told she was going to be taken into custody on the warrant say 34 year old Karisa Heelan first locked herself in her car, made a phone call and then struggled with officers when they removed her. The original warrant was in connection with a plea deal she had made on a speeding ticket she got in Braidwood in March of last year for doing 88 in a 55, but prosecutors want her probation revoked, saying she failed to show for traffic school, a victim’s impact panel and a court hearing.
